Statement of Purpose
Tools for Opportunity maintains this web site to share the stories of underprivileged craftsmen in developing countries and our efforts to help them get the tools they need to build a better life for their families and communities. The site also provides a convenient way for visitors to contribute tools or cash, or to volunteer to help further our economic development goals.

Privacy Policy
In general, you can browse this web site without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself. We are, however, able to determine your internet service provider’s (ISP) address and domain name (i.e. gmail.com, hotmail.com, etc.). We use this information to measure the use of the web site and to improve its content and organization.
Personally identifiable information, such as e-mail addresses, mailing addresses and telephone numbers, is collected when you subscribe to our e-mail newsletter or make a donation through this web site. When giving a gift donation, you have the option of providing the recipient’s e-mail address for Tools for Opportunity to notify him or her of your gift. Tools for Opportunity uses PayPal® to process credit card donations submitted online. PayPal’s secure servers encrypt your credit card information so that it may be safely transmitted over the web. Your credit card information is not viewed or saved by Tools for Opportunity.
